I’ve always had the thought that homemade soups weren’t as great as the ones they serve at restaurants. Maybe that’s because I made a huge pot of ‘fail-soup’ a few years ago which scarred me from ever making it again. Haha. But I’ve recently been on a soup kick and boy-oh-boy have they changed my mind! I guess I’m just getting lucky with wonderful recipes lately. (Or maybe I was just a real bad soup maker when I was younger.) Anywho…
Today I’m sharing with you all a SUPER easy tomato basil soup recipe. A friend of mine gave me the recipe and told me I had to try it out. I did and I love it. It is a great recipe to make when you don’t have much time to cook but want a hot meal. It’s only about 15 minutes from start to finish and makes for great leftovers! Check it out!
All you need is whipping cream, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and some dried basil. Doesn’t get much easier than that! Dump it in a pan, heat it up, and enjoy!
Serve it with some hot bread or breadsticks to complete the meal!
Mmm, mmm, mmm! I just can’t get over how easy and delicious this is. I’m looking forward to having this for lunch again tomorrow! It makes me actually excited to have leftovers…and that is saying something.
Did you make this?

Will be making this for sure this weekend to go along with grilled cheese. I love to put Italian seasoning on my grilled cheese too and lately I’ve been putting pesto on it as well. These will surely combine nicely. Thanks!
