This summer I had an 8-5 internship, which meant I had to either buy or pack my lunch everyday. Let’s just say that I could count the times I packed my lunch on one hand. Woops. I already had to wake up super early and was always scrambling to get out the door in time, so packing a lunch wasn’t quite a priority at 5am. Can you imagine that? I was lucky enough to get my hair tamed and looking presentable (my hair can be quite the beast, btw).
I don’t even want to think about how much money I spent during the summer on lunches. So when I started back at school I knew I had to make a change. Now I would have to juggle packing lunch for the day on campus or for work twice a week. So I started looking for ways to pack healthy lunches for my crazy busy days. That’s when I came across Easy Lunchboxes. Containers that allow you to pack your lunch in one unit while having separate compartments. Genius, I thought. You could say I was in love from the start. (Yes that’s right, I get excited about lunchboxes.) Besides, this is how I was currently packing my lunch…
That’s right. As much as I hate to admit it, this is how I was packing my lunch. Everything thrown into a ziploc bag and shoved in my purse until I got to work. Which I must note, that many times my sandwich was more of a flat bread when I got there. Haha. Every time I would bring something like this down to lunch everyone would point, stare, and laugh. Okay just kidding…kind of. It did manage to ignite a few laughs from my fellow interns with their fancy-schmancy containers & lunch bags.
When I got Easy Lunchboxes in the mail my lunch-life changed forever. Not only do they help with portion control, but they also are a great way to keep all your food separate but compact. They are microwave & dishwasher safe, which is a biggie for me since I don’t have much time to wash dishes by hand in between school & work. Although they don’t claim to be leak-proof, they seal great for the foods I want to pack. I’ve flipped these upside down many times with yogurt & salads inside and the lids stay nice and tight. And to top all this off, these wonderful reusable containers help me to pack waste-free lunches. Sorry ziploc bags, you’ll just have to deal with it.
I really can’t say enough great things about these! In fact…it’s actually kind of ridiculous how excited I get over lunchboxes. Haha. Oh, the simple joys in life. And it gets better…they offer free shipping through their Amazon store. So if you want to snag these up for yourself, that’s the way to go! I love me some free shipping.
And before I leave you for today, I wanted to share with you the link to the printable lunchbox notes you see in all the images! You can sneak them into kids lunch boxes to help brighten their day in the midst of math facts & spelling tests (haha, what a rough life grade school is!). Or in my case, sneak them into the roomies lunch! Haha. If you’re reading this, roomie…beware.

I love that it comes with 4 boxes! I would use two each day, because I would want to separate my salad extras in a another box!
