Can you use this receipe/ingredients and still roll and use cookie cutters, or you don’t recommend it? I wanted to try the powdered sugar and regular sugar in the receipe but still neeeded to use cookie cutter for Christmas cookies for the kids to decorate

I keep telling my husband how impressed I am with this frosting and decided maybe I should leave my compliments where it matters. We do cookie decorating as a family activity for every holiday. I did not bake the cookie recipe that goes with this, but will never make another icing recipe for cookie decorating again. We have young (messy) children and this frosting was the perfect consistency to spoon into decorating squeeze bottles for them. It was also easy to manipulate the consistency to what we wanted using water and powdered sugar to make thinner/thicker. I did not use almond extract and it tasted great with only vanilla. It was not overly sweet like many frostings. We baked probably 30 cookies and we had to make four batches of this to make enough frosting for all of these cookies – probably could have been okay with three batches. Should be noted that we used five colors so we did need quite a bit. It was super easy to make bigger batches, though. It flooded nicely and it firms up the perfect amount and quickly which is perfect for little mouths that are dying to eat their cookies. Definitely recommend!!
